Baby showers

In the beginning of June, I went home for one last time before the bun comes out.  The flight was miserable.... 32 weeks pregnant, 4 hours in the air, sitting in a window seat, after a 12 hour night shift. I spent most of it vomiting in the bathroom.  the flight attendants were terrified I was about to go into labor.  I assured them it was just nausea and exhaustion.... not contractions.  However, their fear worked to my advantage, they gave me free snacks and let me sit in the back where there was more space and air flow.

My mom really wanted to have a baby shower for me and thankfully all the pieces fell into place.  Susie and some of mom's closest friends planned a lovely evening of food and good times.  I got so many wonderful things for the bun!  The nursery will almost be complete once mom brings all the goodies out to Colorado next week!

Delicious cake that Theresa and I managed to de-ice.  I paid severely for my decision to ingest an inordinate amount of straight sugar calories. Baby spent almost 3 hours flipping around in my belly that night when I crawled in bed.

Angela, Me, Theresa, Julia and Jessica.  I grew up with these girls and hadn't seen some of them in years.  It was so great to catch up and share childhood memories!

Me and Jessica.  We were inseparable as kids and even started to look and sound like each other for a few years.

Me and Jan Odell.  Her daughter was unable to make it to the shower, but I spent many hours at her house throughout my childhood.  It was lovely to visit with her!

Diaper cake and baby fox, complements of the hostesses.
