I am a HOMEOWNER!

This is my new house! We've been here about a month. Buying a home is possibly the most terrifying experience in the world. I've never felt so clueless about something that I chose to do/purchase. Every single time our realtor asked us what we wanted, we just said... umm what do you think?

one of those nights

its 0100 and all of the children are sleeping, or sedated. i much prefer the latter.
i have been working nights now for one year. and no matter what they tell you, it never gets any easier. my body is in constant disagreement with the schedule i keep. it tells me i am hungry at 0600, 1200, 1800, 2300, 0200. this sadly doesn't really comply with my attempts to lose weight. in addition to feeling hungry, i also feel sleepy. woe is me.

My Attempt

Theresa motivated me to attempt to be internet savvy. So here goes...
Here I am, the RN I worked so hard to become... up all night in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. In one year I have gone from the new girl on the block, to one of the most experienced nurses working in Peds (how scary is that). I've seen it all here. From irate parents whose children have less than a stuffy nose, to families of kids with no brain function, laughing and telling jokes. I haven't decided which is worse. I've been cursed at by a 10 year old, pooped on by a 16 year old, hit by a 3 year old, and the list goes on.
